Visual Art, a digital signage provider in Stockholm, Sweden, is entering the Australian market with deployments at 7-Eleven convenience stores.

Working with a local supplier, Visual Art’s software CMS Signage Player have been delivered to 7-Eleven stores across Australia. The effort developed as 7-Eleven was searching for a more flexible and easy-to-use software for in-store digital communication channels, according to a press release.

“It’s always fun when you enter a completely new market and of course even more fun when you can make such a big deal for such a well-established customer,” Anders Apelgren, Visual Art CEO, said in the release.

“We have a long-term goal to grow outside Europe, and even though we are primarily focusing and investing in the Nordic region and Europe now, Australia is a real feather in our cap for our solution.”

Visual Art has worked with 7-Eleven in both Sweden and Denmark, but the agreement in Australia will be completely independent of this collaboration, according to the release.

“One of the great advantages of our solution is that we can handle both the technology and the content easily and securely remotely,” Apelgren said. “It gives the customer great opportunities to quickly and easily change and adapt content, but also for us to help at all levels up to the end customer.”

The digital signage rollout for 7-Eleven in Australia should be completed this summer. Visual Art, founded in 1997, has offices in Sweden, the Nordic region, Spain, Germany and the U.S.
